A minimum of 5 business days' notice is required for shutdown requests to be approved. Exceptions may be granted for urgent requests.

The request will be forwarded to the managers, occupants, and/or users potentially affected by the proposed shutdown. These entities must agree before the shutdown is approved. If the entities do not agree, the Requestor will review alternate dates and times until all parties are in agreement.

Upon approval, notice will be communicated to the Requestor and affected trades. The shutdown will be published on the Business and Finance shutdowns and outages web page. Depending on impact, an announcement may also occur in ASU Now and/or The State Press. The Requestor must contact and coordinate with the appropriate trades and/or contractor to commence and restore the shutdown at the approved dates and times.
